Hi YORWW Congregation,

You say Jehovah's Witnesses became modern-day "Israel" in the year of 1931, under Judge Rutherford's leadership. But wasn't he a "drunk"? Why would God use him to lead the nation of "Israel" into a holy covenant with Himself?

Also this question:

"Isn't the Watchtower Society just a bunch of liars! All they do is teach false doctrine and establish policy that hurts people (the practice of shunning and the child abuse issue). Under these circumstances those leaders at Brooklyn Bethel (or Patterson) couldn't possibly "represent" a righteous God, like Jehovah, could they?"

Yes, we've all heard such types of questions from opposers of Jehovah's Witnesses, have we not? Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses are soooo wicked, and their leaders sooo wicked, no they couldn't possibly represent God's Name People, modern-day Israel of our time. No, Jehovah wouldn't use such a "worthless" people or nation, with such wicked leaders, would he -- isn't that so?

Well, actually based upon that logic then, isn't it true the Israelite nation should have been completely disqualified from being accepted into a covenant with God, since the righteous man Moses (who mediated that covenant) just after receiving the Law from God on Mt. Sinai, came down to a worthless, lying nation of hypocritical "golden calf" worshippers! Yes, that means, Jehovah, the Holy One, agreed to OVERLOOK their truly sin-stained condition of recent outright IDOLATRY practiced in his presence (something he detests), and go ahead and accept a filthy, idolatrous nation of offensive evil-doers into his His Holy Covenant Arrangement as a nation, largely upon the intervening activity of faithful Moses, acting as their "intercessor", and their much needed "mediator." -- See Exodus 32:1 thru Exodus 33:7.

That's what the bible account, and the facts truly show, about that historic event in God granting a "covenant" relationship with the ancient nation of Israel.

Actually, when we think about it, all CT Russell and JF Rutherford were, ever were, but mere men...just sinful men. That's all. Neither CT Russell nor JF Rutherford, were never, ever chosen by God to "MEDIATE" this wondrous christian covenant, were they? No, it was thru the precious blood of Jesus, a completely sinless, perfect man, that anyone today, any sinner, can make the claim that they are "true christians." And that's because all men today, are sinners. Any who claim to make up the "christian" congregation of God, anywhere on earth.

So, whether in the year of 1931 or anytime else, no one actually qualified to enter such a holy covenant with God -- without, without the help of Jesus' precious blood. Which brings us to the obvious truth, then that NO ONE...no one is truly qualified to enter a holy covenant with God, since "all men are sinners" and "all men fall short of the glory of God," the bible makes clear. - See Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12.

Paul himself wrote to first century christians,

"All men have deflected, all of them together have become worthless; there is no one that does kindness, there is not so much as one." -- Romans 3:12

Now, after reading the above, yes do we get the point? It shows above that no one truly qualifies, without the blood of Jesus being used to open up this possibility of having a "covenant" relationship with Jehovah. No one. And that goes for everybody on the planet earth.

So, Jehovah's Witnesses today, do have every right to be considered "christian" under the "christian law", despite the antics of a wicked bunch of people who just happen to reside in Brooklyn, NY. And they have every right to consider themelves a "people for God's Name too," even though they sin and have sinned, greatly. This is because ancient "Israel" did this too. So then, Covenanted Ancient "Israel," as well as modern-day "Israel", God's Name People, Jehovah's Witnesses, are then, the same -- sinners!

So then, CT Russell, JF (Booze) Rutherford (as some call him), then, have nothing to do with it. The main point is that Jesus, "mediated" the covenant in 1931 -- and thats what Jehovah was looking at, a righteous person, to intervene in the nation's behalf, a righteous person in the middle, between God and a sinful people, a sinful nation, this one, Jesus Christ. It was thru the righteous, sin-atoning value of Jesus' precious blood that all things could be accomplished for God's Name People, in 1931. And those sordid people, who just happen to lead the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, actually then, have nothing what-so-ever to do with the matter at hand. It was the blood of Jesus that got all Jehovah's Witnesses into a "christian" covenant relationship with Jehovah God in 1931, when they accepted the responsibility of carrying God's Name upon themselves making them modern-day spiritual "Israel," -- with yes, Jesus Christ becoming their "mediator." That's the important thing to remember here.

Just as Jehovah Himself says:

"And they must place MY NAME upon the sons of Israel, that I myself may BLESS THEM." -- See Numbers 6:27.
