How to get to the LWF Chatroom Facility

Post by The Modern-Day Servant (Isaiah 49:1-9) »

Hi ABJah,

The best way to find different things on LWF would be to always find your "home page" first. Usually, if you can find the "home page" then, you can generally find anything you want on the "Living Waters" Forum. Once you get to the "Home Page" just look to your upper left-hand corner, and you will see a list of "buttons" that are called special "links" to help you get around LWF. One of those special "links" is to the LWF Chatroom Facility (designated "Chat").

Here is the link for the LWF "Home Page":

LWF Home Page

Hope this helps...and see you around Noon, Sunday (Central Time). :)

Entering The Chatroom

Post by The Modern-Day Servant (Isaiah 49:1-9) »

Hi ABJAh,

Also wanted to mention this,

...at these specially designed chatrooms, you don't have to register or give out any personal information or even your email address in order to enter and participate in our new Chatroom facility. No, but all you do is just type in any name that you wish to use for that particular session, any name as long as no one is using it currently (but do not enter a "password" underneathe) and then, simply press the "chat" button at the bottom of screen -- and presto -- you are in! You usually first enter the "default" Room. Sometimes, we are there. But, if not, then immediately after you enter the "default" room, just look to the right, and select either room #1 or #2 (where most of us will be usually) click that room, and begin chatting with others of like faith. Its just that simple!

Hi Polemotheos,

Good to talk with you again!

In answer to your question above, actually we sent a letter out to you (and a few others) a few days ago explaining the situation. (I will re-send it again to you for your perusal.) In the meantime, I will hit the high points of the letter shown below.

In the letter dated Friday, December 17, 2004, called "Greetings From LIVING WATERS FORUM!" (which is actually an excerpt from our "LWF Rules" Page posted our discussion board) we stated in part:

"...Sometimes, an individual registers at LWF, but suddenly begins to "debate" or "argue" with our beliefs & teachings, and sometimes opposes us to such an extent that in their public posts on our board, they begin to include disparaging remarks about those who are regular posters on LWF & members of the YORWW Congregation. To us, since you are our "guests" here at this discussion board, we view this an act of GROSS DISRESPECT. Also, in some instances, registered members of LWF, individuals known to ourselves, begin to frequent other discussion boards and carry on such uncomplimentary talk about us or our work also. We consider this, "ignorant talk," since we feel such a person does not have all of the facts while spreading such erroneous views about us or our teaching. This we know does happen. -- Hebrew 12:3; 1 Peter 2:15

"Therefore, in an effort to address the problem and assist the person when this happens, occasionally, we will have to "de-activate" the account, until we can better determine the nature of the problem. Perhaps, we may contact you by way of email, in an effort to resolve the situation on a personal basis. True, there has been some mix-up or serious misunderstanding of what someone said, or something like this that needs to be cleared up. So, in all such cases, please be reminded that we wish to clear up the misunderstanding between us, and wish to continue our dialogue with you so that you can better understand our teaching and biblical understanding of things. -- Isaiah 1:18

"Of course we know at LWF that we may not always agree on everything, but at least, we can agree to "become agreeable" about our difference, as should be the case for all of God's Name People, spiritual "brothers" in the faith. (1 Corinthians 1:10) However, please understand that all during that period of time we are trying to resolve the problem and difficulty, your account with LWF may be "de-activated," temporarily or permanently depending upon the situation. We do this, so that greater confusion will not be created on our discussion board resulting in increased discord for others who co-exist peacefully here. -- James 3:18

"Not in all cases, but in many cases when all such things occur, you will be contacted by email from LWF, explaining the situation, as to why your LWF account was temporarily/permanently "de-activated" and what can be done on your part and ours, to remedy the situation.

--------------------------end of quote from letter----------------------

So as you can see, above, we did not formally "ban" you from our discussion board. But instead, your account was "de-activated" until we could get in touch with you PRIVATELY, to discuss the situation.

Hope this helps to explain the situation a little better for you, and our policies and procedures here at LWF.

And thanks again for your comment above.

Christian Greetings,
I am a new "temp" on LWF and have Mary and Don to thank. Patience and kindness towards me is what Jesus would want. I intend to stay for my limited time to learn, search and make some good noise...I am somewhat confused by so many different views within WT, LWF, Bible Students..all the while I was thirsting and still am for the truth. It will take some time for me to concentrate and stay on LWF tract.
I have met many sisters and brothers on Ewatchman, went away due to illness and hope to regain some insight into scripture again. My prayer now is to try to figure out this forum...I seem to thrive in the GB, but am lost easily....love, hugs and in christian Service I am...Gina

Hello Gina, :)
Patience and kindness towards me is what Jesus would want.
You are correct, treating others the way you would like to be treated is showing "love for your neighbor" as Jesus taught. That would be mean for all whether you are a bible study or a current JW or an exJW. Worship of Jehovah is what is promoted here and it is so very nice to have you here also! :D

Yes, there is a "banquet of spiritual food" here. But just as in Jesus' day some of the information may seem shocking (John 6:60). Especially for one's who are use to being told what to think and believe (Hebrews 5:11) But after reading some of these articles, the "living waters" can actually help also (Matthew 13:15). But please be as the Beroean's were checking the scriptures and asking questions.

And don't forget to pray to Jehovah about all things!

Philia,
Mary

Great! I see you made your first post with us...very nice!:)
I am somewhat confused by so many different views within WT, LWF, Bible Students..all the while I was thirsting and still am for the truth. It will take some time for me to concentrate and stay on LWF tract.

And you are not the only person "confused" either, I assure you. I say this because, in actuality, this is a most perplexing situation for anyone to face...agreed, in that today we realize, there are so many divergent viewpoints available for one to choose from. I dare say, even the WTS themselves, members of the writing department, service department and Governing Body members are somewhat surprised of the great difference of opinions surfacing today, even among Jehovah's Witnesses themselves, all openly being aired and made available now by way of the Information Highway of the World the world wide web, the internet.

Why, think of the challenges facing the average Jehovah's witness today, so different from the past. Why now, instead of facing a person (in field service) who possibly had "heard" from someone that Jehovah's Witnesses didn't celebrate christmas, birthdays and the like and thus want to know why we teach this..Now people want to know,

"...So you guys don't believe Jerusalem was destroyed in 587 huh...but believe that date is 20 years off, in 607...right? Why do you say this?"

Yes now, the average Jehovah's Witness has to face such like questions, now in their door-to-door public ministry. Whew! Now, that would be a great challenge for a JW to overcome, because now, he is fighting the collective intelligence of an INFORMED community, one unlike any the brothers at the kingdom halls have never, ever faced in the past. Yes, we live in the "information age" and that type of "knowledge" and awareness is readily available to the average "Tom," "Dick" and "Harry" who simply has a PC and local dial-up service for it.

In other words, the challenges facing Jehovah's Witnesses today, are so, so much greater than when I started out preaching the biblical message some 50 years ago as a kid. :)

One thing I wanted to mention to you, Gina, was to say in the overall sense... our message, which is called The "Report," can be described as one that mimics and is reminiscent of the special message that Jesus and the prophets of old preached -- the persons Jehovah specifically used to serve notice upon those transgressors of the Mosaic Law Covenant of the past, and the resulting outcome of such apostasizing away from God. -- See Isaiah 10:6; Also please compare Isaiah 53:1 with John 12:38 [see large print New World Translation, footnote, where the WTS notes, the expression "thing heard" could have been rendered "Report."]

Gina, as you examine the 100 or so topics we have displayed on our discussion board, you will begin to notice many, many things the YORWW Congregation teaches, actually finds it "roots" or beginnings within the Mosaic Law itself. Not, that we are advocating a full return to it, as those of Judaism do. No, but we often point out, there is much there in that particular Law of God, for study and meditation, than normally realized by those who teach God's Word today. And so, we are here to remind people of that fact.

In fact, many of the primary doctrines and teachings of the YORWW Congregation, things we teach and our present understanding of scripture and prophecy, like the Scapegoat Law or Covenant itself and principles thereof, are certainly drawn from the Law of Moses. (Lev. 16) Also, the 2 Kingdom Concept, as well as the teaching that New Jerusalem will be finally realized as an EARTHLY government arrangement, rather than a heavenly one, can be said to be drawn from the Law of Moses also. So then all of these teachings, no question, do find their origin, premise and basis within the Mosaic Law Covenant itself. Yes, there is a very close tie-in and correlation with the Mosaic Law Covenant, the principles taught in that Law itself, with many of the unique teachings of the YORWW Congregation.

In fact, we teach this special feature of our doctrine and special feature of Divine "Living Waters" itself, was even predicted to be such, as shown within the book of Revelation, where it mentions the "singing" of the "song of Moses." So then, this "singing" or preaching of such a special message, the "Song of Moses," was thus shown to be a future, grand event, where one day people would come to better understand the true, and greater significance of that particular Law of God, the Mosaic Law, also what God originally intended by giving that Law, what it meant for the natural Israelites of ancient times, and of course, what it would prefigure, and foreshadow for God's Servants within our day and time. Yes, this is a very interesting concept, to be sure, for one inquisitive and diligent student of God's Word, to pursue. -- Revelation 15:3

So again, I hope you enjoy your stay with us, and we are looking forward to having many enlightening bible discussions with you on so many different topics, things of "serious concern" as Paul said coming from God's Word. -- Philippians 4:8

Glad to have you with us, here at LWF Discussion board! :D

bounced out of "Jehovah's Truth" room at paltalk f

Post by rapt »

Not sure why, but after returning from the restroom, I saw i had been bounced out of Jehovah's Truth room at paltalk. This doesn't seem to me to be a Christian response by the admin to me. I had said I was checking out the website, and he said "good".

Hi rapt,

What name did you use at paltalk, so I can check this out. There may have been some mix-up somewhere.

Hi bejay,

Yes, there was a slight mixup. As you know, if a person comes into the paltalk room, and leaves his name in the room for a long period of time (like 30 minutes) and we try to contact them, speak into the microphone and write messages to them, and they don't respond, we do remove them from the room. And that is what happened to "rapt". He was gone from the paltalk room for close to 30 minutes or more, but his name was left in the room. So I removed it, forceably, by bouncing him.

Sorry rapt...nothing personal, simply our paltalk room policy :)

Memorial

Post by Mary »

Greetings!

Paul gave instructions on celebrating the Memorial of Jesus' death here:

(1 Corinthians 11:26) 26 For as often as YOU eat this loaf and drink this cup, YOU keep proclaiming the death of the Lord, until he arrives.

If you read this article called, "THE SECOND "PAROUSIA" OF CHRIST -- RE-EXAMINED". This article shows the fulfillment of this verse (1 Corinthians 11:26) above, when Christians "proclaimed the death" of the Lord, from Pentecost up to 70 CE.

I hope this helps you to understand. :D

Agape,
Mary
